Anastassija
I am a music teacher and choir conductor. I teach music at Tallinn Art Gymnasium and also conduct choirs.
I hold a master’s degree in school music from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and a Level 7 professional teaching qualification. I have many years of experience working with children’s choirs and have taken part in the Estonian Song Celebration with them on several occasions.
For me, teaching music is much more than passing on knowledge. I want students to understand music, listen to it with curiosity and feel confident enough to explore it for themselves. That is why I connect music theory with practical activities such as listening, singing and playing instruments.
What I enjoy most is the moment when a student realises that music is not something distant or difficult, but a language they can gradually learn to understand and enjoy.
